Yes ,of course ,and it turns to fuel supply when the battery dies ,if possible ( There can be a case where there is only one battery , and then it cannot run anymore either on fuel or electric power ). Well I think that all hybrid electric vehicles have a critical battery level ,below which they never run on pure electric power . So ,I don’t think ,someone can ever face the battery dead phenomena
