Can't judge like this . As far as I know without a good car , even Schumacher will be like Alex Albon (no disrespect for this dude ,he is great ) .As far as I know Hamilton was the best rookie in Formula 1 ,scoring second place in the opening season beating a defending world champion teammate in the form of Alonso. But a counter argument comes to this in the form that many drivers that are compared with Lewis didn't get a go at a Championship contending team in the first season like McLaren .Both Vettel and Max first drove a complete season with Toro Rosso ,which was a low budget sister team of Redbull . So max might have performed the same way as Lewis in his rookie season ,had he gotten a chance at a Championship contending team. Max is the youngest driver to score a win and to start an F1 grand prix ,but I don't think so you can really compare age at the start of a career as a token of bieng GOAT . Drivers like Massa and Bottas could have had a title for them ,but circumstances didn't allow them to .Alonso could have more than 4 world titles ,but bad career choices didn't let him .Rosberg could have won at least one more title ,but he left at the peak of his career .A win or success in Formula 1 is the result of combination of these things .if anyone of these is missing ,there is no success ,doesn't matter the amounts the other things are in excess .
- Money (indeed a lot of it ,Mercedes spends four times the amount Williams do )
- Great Driver (Someone like Lewis or Max ,who is highly skilled and would accept nothing less than win )
- Great Engineers ( you need people like Adrian Newey ,Colin Chapman ,Steve Nichols ,Gordon Murray and James Allison in your team )
- Great leader ( a person who will give everything for the success of the team ,like Toto and Christian )
- Great Mentors and Advisors ( People like Helmut Marko and Niki Lauda )
- Great Race management ( Redbull has the fastest pit stop and Mercedes has great Race Engineer in the form of Peter Bonnington ).
