Indycar ,Superformula and Formula E for sure if you are just considering open wheel single seater racing .However every other category of racing that occurs on four wheels is an alternative except for feeder series ,because they have already graduated that part . They can go to World Endurance Championship. If they have rally skills like that of Carlos Sainz ,probably they can go to World Rally Championship .They can also compete in DTM like Alex albon did . They can also compete at IMSA weathertech championship and drive a DPI car . They can go to NASCAR too . If nothing from racing is an option .They can become a TV person like Karan Chandook and Martin Brundle ,that also pays well because of the immense experience of F1 drivers and there knowledge of the technical aspects of F1 . However if someone wants to stay up to date with F1 , so they can survive well if they get a future go in it ,best option is Formula car racing ,in which you have three choices :. Superformula ,Indycar and Formula E.
